Elsa Fryklund is an actress and singer who also works as a translator of musical theater works from English to Swedish.
Elsa is a trained actor/singer, who studied musical theatre at the Academy of Music and Drama in Gothenburg (2016-2019). She has also studied at the international master's program in Theater Studies and Dramaturgy at Stockholm University (2023-2025).
As an actress, she has worked at Uppsala Stadsteater and Kulturhuset Stadsteatern, among others. She has translated musical theater for the Gothenburg Opera, the Academy of Music and Drama in Gothenburg, as well as song lyrics and dialogue for various children's and youth series on HBO MAX and Netflix. Elsa also works extensively as a voice actress and has provided Swedish voices for some 30 different roles for Netflix and Disney, including the animated lead role of Nimona in the Oscar-nominated feature film Nimona, Netflix 2023.
In the spring of 2024, Elsa played the role of Klara-Fina Gulleborg in a musical theater version of Selma Lagerlöf's The Emperor of Portugallia at Västmanlands Teater, with music by Mikael Wiehe. In 2025, she appeared in the musical Kinky Boots at Uppsala Stadsteater as US/Swing.
